hi every one i need help
I've lost my recovery cd's to my Compaq Presario computerMODEL 5000 Windows 98.
I called compaq and they said that they don't have this cd for windows 98 any more
so please if any one have it and willing to help me please e mail ASAP.

If you can't get the recovery cd you can always reinstall using a regular 98 cd. After the installation you'd need to download the additional drivers from the compaq page for your model.

You don't need the recovery cd. I just restored a Compaq 5240 using nothing but the Compaq/HP website for the drivers that were needed. It is up and running great now. And I even eleminated that 3G of space that Compaq took for it's own personal use. I used the whole hard drive space for the partitions. Running like a dream. If you need more help email me and I'll be glad to do what ever I can to get you all the needed files for your pc WITHOUT A RESTORE CD.
