Compaq Memory???

I have a Compaq Presario 5060, it has 48mb Ram installed when i got it, the memory in it is DIMM's but is it just standard 168 pin pc100 dimms or special compaq memory???

It is just standard 168 pin pc100 DIMM. But if you want to up grade, your computer may only allow for so many MB of RAM. But you can just stick in 128MB DIMM and it will give 128mb or whatever you computer will allow.

Compaq uses both ecc and non ecc in it's machines. I think at least some of the older ones use 5.0 v sdram. I couldn't find voltage specs on their site. Call a computer store that sells memory and give them the compaq number on your memory and see if they can cross reference it. Or maybe they will have that info based on your model #.
