hello!! I am having a problem with my compaq armada 3500.The sreen comes up and tells me to enter Power-On Password. But I bought the laptop off ebay.The last laptop I bought off ebay was a dell and their was a program that tell's me the password.What should I Do? Might give this a whirl: Try removing all battery packs from the battery bay (and MultiBay) and disconnect the AC power. Also remove the real-time clock battery. Wait about five minutes. Reconnect the AC power. Restart the computer. During Power-On Self Test (POST), a “162 System Options Not Set” message appears. (After the 162 Error there may be another Error 164: Time and Date Not Set, and two boxes appear at the bottom of the screen. One is to save the date and time the other to ignore. Choose save.) Shut down the computer, then disconnect AC power again. Replace the real-time clock battery. Install the battery pack(s).
