Comment: I have a Compaq Armada M700 that will not boot into the OS or floppy drive - invalid system disk, whether or not the hard drive, floppy or cd-rom is in the drive. media or no media, it will not allow me to boot or get to post to get into the BIOS. Reply: (edit)It must be completing the POST test if you get to the stage of receiving an "invalid system disk" message. Try the F10 key to get into the BIOS.

Reply: (edit)On Compaq you will see the cursor move to the right of the screen. Begin seleting F10 until you get the Bios Screen. Ensure the Boot Sequence is set to Floppy; C:; CD-Rom. HTH Mesich

Reply: (edit)I have the same problem with armada 1592. The service guys told me to replace the system board. However I am looking for a cheaper way. By the way I guess you know that the bios of these notebooks are on the harddrive and when formatted they go.
