After loading everything on the computer, my cursor has a really hard time moving, it warps a lot when trying to move around, and usually freezes, after that my whole computer freezes but if i don't use the mouse; only keyboard my computer doesn't freeze at all. Plus sometimes during start up it claims i don't have a mouse at all and i've checked the mouse is plugged in tightly. Checked for viruses too, nothing serious. Can a broken or faulty mouse cause comp to hang or some virus probably? Help anyone thanks.

Recommend you find your way to http://housecall.antivirus.com/

There you can run their online virus scan program "Housecall" for free. I've been using this for several years with very satisfactory results.

Hope this helps.
