when it start my computer is goes to a page that says:
Type the name of the command interpreter (e.g. C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND.COM)

my A; drive doesnt work so i dont know how to fix my computer. can someone please email me on how i can program windows 98 into it. I would appreciate the help. Thank you

You will have to get your A: drive working before you can fix this problem. Once A: drive is working, boot from startup disk, and at A:> prompt, type SYS C: , and enter. This replaces system files on HD so it will boot.
