Hi:a friend of mine has old computer 486/66MHZ ,16Mb Ram .Runing win 3.1 ,he decide to upgrade till win 95 .He format true bios (mistake I know) and than install windows 95 ,He said everything work fine when He restarts His pcs He Received a messages that comand .com is missing or corrupted..I told Him to got a boot disk from win 98 and than boot with -it and type at the prompt :copy A:\comand.com (Enter)and Restarts the computer..
Or maybe He doesn,t use the comand format c:/s ..and that,s why He missing some important files...any suggestions.thanks.

Boot off a bootdisk. Then type:

del c:\command.com

and after type:

copy c:\windows\command\command.com c:\

The correct way to do it is type
sys c:
That will restore all the system files
io.sys, msdos.sys and command.com

when i run nortons i get 3 problems that can,t be repaired they are missing files. they are "mfcuia32.dll"maybe someone can help

But if the bootdisk is a different of DOS then came with the version of windows you can frig everything up, this way you can use any bootdisk and just copy the one bad file. If your IO.sys didn't work then use a bootdisk that goes with your version.
