Running Windows 95/98 on college network. I've seen a technicians workstation running win 2000 altho unsure which version so I presume we've got windows 2000 server. Is there anyway in 98 to tell the server to delete the user.dat file? Mine keeps gettin corrupted and I'm getting sick of going back to the technicians..

A server can be almost anything... Win2K, Unix, Linux, etc. Servers are completely independent of users.

Bad RAM is a common cause of the Registry getting corrupted. Another one is viruses.
