I found this after typing cmanager into Google, it is just part of a stack of info on this subject. The CManager can be downloaded so as a guess you could probably delete this and use one that presumebly comes with 98. I'd read up more about it before removing it.

The Contact Manager is a system address book which allows you to store all
your favourite user information, web sites, ftp sites and IRC
server/channels. It is designed as a replacement to the never-ending
number of bookmarks, address books and similar GUI's that are built into
the many different Amiga Internet and communication programs.

It offers a number of features over a lot of the internal
bookmark/addressbooks:

The Contact Manager Address Book software is notoriously troublesome. It tends to conflict with a LOT of other programs and processes. If it were me, I'd dump it. I have no patience with software that behaves that way. Life's too short.

I kept gitting this error when I booted my PC and I found out what it is. I have Bellsouth's DSL and I unpluged my eathernet plug rebooted and no error. I called bellsouth and they fixed it. Good luck. Dillard
