the cm18330 driver comes with the motherboard this is your onboard sound card. you must load the drivers that come with the motherboard. go to browse-change your drive letter to your cd-rom. look for sound and click that. under this it will say sound pro. click on sound pro. under this it will say new and then under new it will say old. click on new. look for the operating system you are running and double click that. (ie: win95) this will load your sound driver. you may have to repeat this procedure if you are running win95. it will ask you to put the disk in that has this driver. just go to browse and start all over. follow the on screen instructions after that.

HELP, My computer mic and sound is not working correctly. In setup windows 95 keeps finding cml8330 drivers. I have downloaded them from www.cmedia.com.tw/e-rnote.htm. When I direct the drivers to where I have unzipped these files, it asks for the cml8330/95win disk. The drivers that came with my motherboard do not have the right ones, another story about a computer store. What do I need to do? Please.

interesting reading, but i need urgent help when i boot up my pc it first tells me there is no xms driver installed, then just before win95 comes on a box appears telling me to insert the disk "win 95 driver disk cm18330. WHY?

I need a cmi8330 audio adapter driver for win98. I have downloaded the 3.7MB driver patch from the CMedia site for win 98, but this causes the sound card to lock up, so that it sounds like a stuck record, and will not stop until you reset the PC. Has anyone else had this problem, or is my soundcard damaged?

I have just got fifa 2000 and I am using a cmi8330/c3d adapter card on win 98, I have upgraded my driver to the latest available on the c-media website. When I play the gamwe the sound locks up and this disables my joystick, I see from the c-media website that there are known problems with fifa 99 and the cmi8338 (or the next step up in sound cards from c-media) and a patch for the cmi8338 is porvided does anybody know if there is a patch to solve the problem with a cmm8330?

I have downloaded the driver for the CM18330 Audio Device from cmedia.com and stored it on my website at http://www.misterfixit.com/Drivers. Feel free to take it and try it. U will need an unzipper to unpack it. I have not yet tried it on a customer's machine but will in the next week to see if I can get his Audio Device running again (since an f-disk and reinstall of w98)

when i activate this driver on a no nane mother board win 98 it installs a device called sb 16 audio adapter and then i get an error message called msgsvr 32 upon clossing and things generally go downhihh from there. can any one help.

Well, I know the CM18330 driver is very popular as well as hard to get. Many people advise to go to www.cmedia.com but this web site has very little to offer, as I have tried to download the driver myself and got an error message saying FTP server not found meaning it is not possible to download this driver. I am still on a search for the driver, if anyone comes across it please E-mail me at dclaxton3000@hotmail.com so i can place it onto a web site for everyone to download. I am still searching the Internet for the driver, if i come across it i will place a link here for everyone to download from. Good Luck everyone!
