clunky Favorites in IE

Is there a better way to manage IE Favorites folders? Unlike other browsers you can't activate a web site from the 'organize favorites' option. Then when you choose "organize favorites' you get this dialog box that shows the first three or so letters of the web address-you have to drag it wider to read what the favorites are and still go tediously back and forth to open the link and make sure of what it is then go back to the 'organize' section.
I tried opnening from Explorer and got an error message that I needed 'program.exe' to open.

Try clicking on File-Favorites, and you will get a better view. Close the favorites, along side your browser, to get a bigger picture.

Favorites is just a directory under \Windows.
Use Explorer to do any re-orgs.

If you click on the Favorites button that is to the right of the Search button, it opens a frame to the left of the browser window, and you can browse and organize them at the same time.
