When I try to run my application recovery disk it says a file called cloaker exe.is missing and is needed to open this disk.

HP is the worst. When your one year runs out, so does your support. Besides they burn a program called cloaker.exe into the ROM bios, if you say replace the MB in your system, your recovery disks aren't worth anything except for being good coasters. Then their tech support Web site is also wrong time after time.
When I responded to them being wrong, they bombarded my e-mail with hundreds of e-mails. For instance, telling a customer that their ASUS MB in their HP machine won't support a Pentium III chip, that they will need to upgrade from HP, is horsepucky; I've had a PIII in mine for over a year. The things
some companies will go to for the almighty DOLLAR. Watch TECHTV, you'll get the straight scoop. After watching the TV program for several months, I decided to build my own system. WOW, I got the best computer that I've ever seen in my life, all thanks to ZDTV. Keep up the GREAT work guys!

Just a thought... there was a mouse program that loaded a prog called cloaker I believe. May be worth a try!

ISSUE: When an HP Pavilion recovery CD is inserted, the following message may appear: Cannot Find Cloaker.exe.
SOLUTION: This message can appear if the CD-ROM drive has been reassigned to a drive letter other than M. The autorun.inf file looks for the executable on drive letter M. Re-assign the CD-ROM to drive letter M using the process described below:
Windows 95 or 98
1. From the Windows Desktop, right-click "My Computer."2. From the drop-down menu, select Properties.
3. Highlight the Device Manager tab.
4. Double-click the + to the right of CD-ROM. Double-click the CD-ROM.
5. The CD-ROM Properties window appears. Highlight the Settings tab. Set Start Drive Letter to the letter M. Select OK.
6. Select OK to exit the Device Manager
