Comment:

I just reinstalled Windows 98 SE on one of my users computers. Once the install was complete, I could not get the Client for Microsoft Networks logon popup box to show on startup. I have checked all of the settings, and everything seems to be correct. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Thanks

In Network Properties, did you set the default Windows Login the the Microsoft Client for Windows?

No, it should be Client for Microsoft Network. I am using the same settings that I did before I did the Re-install, but just cant get it to popup on startup. I can log off user and then when it logs out the current user it will give me the login box.

maybe 'remove' the client added - add again.

Do you do a custom novellclient install?

Run regedit and search for "autologon". If you find this entry delete it. Next time you reboot if should come up witht the windows 2 line log on.

Be sure and BACKUP your registry BEFORE you do ANY editing.
