i lost all my drivers and install disks that came with the computer. however i'm planning on a clean install of win2k or xp from win98.

i need to know if this is possible and what i should do step by step. like, what i should make sure to do. i already started to download the 4 in 1 VIA chipset, and the graphics driver for Geforce2 MX, but what else should i do? flash my bios?

just boot with the 2k or xp disk.
either os will give you a report as to what drivers you need.
xp has most all drivers available for anything.

Hello

A clean install is a clean install...I mean if you have Win2K/XP full version, you suppose to do it from DOS as an independent OS and then install W98 as an alternate OS (if you still wish a reference or run programs which don't work with W2K/XP).
You need probably to download only the audio card's drivers from the web.Step by step instructions may include some snap shots too.If you want you can post me a message, so I can help you properly.

regards

Stefan
