I have a Seagate 2 gig hard drive that has a blown boot sector from the CIH Virus. I can have it rebuilt for a costly fee. I am trying to find someone who can provide a reasonably priced software package to correct the problem. Any ideas??
Another victim. Download CleanCIH from a download site, read the readme on it and run it to remove the virus from memory. Then boot with a CLEAN boot disc. Then run an up to date virus program from a floppy disc to remove CIH. If that works you might be able to save some of your files or be back in business. If not, you'll have to wipe the HD clean and start over.

Thats fine if the virus has not disabled the hard drive. I found a free program that fixes the boot sector of a fat 16 and fat 32 drive. It worked great. The grogram can be downloaed at:
