Hi there. Just a simple question. Is it possible to change the height and width of a downloaded video file? I need them to be a smaller size (128x128 or lower).
Anyone know if this is possible? Is there some sort of program to change size perhaps?
Thanks in advance.

Where there is a will, there's a way
first of, what format is it...the video you want to resize...
for avi(divx..) I'd recommend virtual dub
http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/
just make sure that once you open up the avi file, you go to -video- at the top, and choose compression, from there choose a codec...preferably the same codec the file is compressed in if you have it...if you don't choose a codec, it will save the avi as uncompressed, which will take up gigs of space...also, under video, choose filters and click on 'add'...then just click on resize and specify the size you want...
I know it's not the simplest, but it is stable and free..
for mpeg files I recommend Tmpeg
http://www.tmpgenc.net/e_download.html
that one is much much simpler to use and even has a wizard at startup to guide you...plus it is FREE
if this is by some chance an asf file, my recommendation would be to find an old version of virtual dub 1.3...since later versions do not support that format...
if it was wmv...then your best bet would be to use graphedit...but that program is complicated for someone barely starting to get in to video editing....
if it was real media...then the only program I have used that works is Boilsoft's Rm to avi/mpg converter...but that one is shareware...
hope some of that helped=P
/end

I would change that to where there are resources there is a way
Resources mean h/w, s/w, patience (time)
