I have a USB modem and a USB camera that appear to both want to use IRQ 9.
When they are both on the computer is really slow and the refresh rate of the camera goes down to basically nothing, or I get a green screen.
Is this and IRQ conflict?
If so, how do I change the IRQ setting of one of the devices?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Mark,
Have you checked to see if you even have any resources avilable? Most systems do not, but still worth the look. One or the other of these peripherals were recently added to your system. You may want to pursue the tech support of the product in question. If it fairly new, that should be free in most cases. Besides, they do that for a living. Changing IRQ's is a sound path to consider, but you should be very careful when you do this. Your system may not like you telling it where to rack and stack things. Word of caution, do NOT change more than one before rebooting your system and checking it out for ripple affects. That way you can always change it back. Also, write down as much info as ppossible if you make any changes. You'll be glad you have a reference to go back to later. Good luck!
Pierre

USB steering uses only one IRQ. Thus all USB devices will run on IRQ 9 in your case. This is not a conflict

I have had problems with my scanner not scanning photos, letters, etc. I have tried doing most everything such as contacting Hewlett Packard tech support, attempting to change the IRQ settings through windows, even going so far as to assign other DMA's to my USB. Most of what I have done has caused nothing but problems that I have recently overcomed. I need help and no one can help me. Do I need to re-arrange the jumpers on my board or do I need to make changes in CMOS? Please help!!
