Place the icons in the approx. position that you want them and right click a blank part of the screen, select line up icons.

Hi,
Right click on a blank spot on your desktop, put your pointer onver ARRANGE ICONS and uncheck the AUTO ARRANGE selection.
Then just place your ICONS anywhere you like and they will stay in place.

Does XP handle the desktop icons the same way as 9X? (The most I've done with XP is remove it for friends and re-install 98SE on thier systems.)

Hi,
You might want to post in the XP Forum as this is 9X Forum.
Ignore my earlier post. I failed to notice you're running XP.
