Change to word start on the start menu, if u can help please

I've seen the start menu say other things like stop. im just trying to keep my desktop exciting so if you would please help i will send cool screensavers that ive found and any thing else u might need i just might have!!!!

I assume you want to have Word listed in the start menu. Go to windows explorer and click on windows under C: Click on Start menu then Programs. This will list all your programs on the right side of the screen. On the left side of the screen scroll down until Windows/Start Menu is showing. Drag Word from the right side to the Start Menu on the left side and drop it in. DONE

Hi Mike There may be some Progs to change the Startbutton, but u can change it by using a Hex-Editor. i prefer ultra-edit. open the explorer.exe in Windows directory search the string S.t.a.r.t. in german Win95 version you will find at hex adr. 0002d488 near the end of file change the string ex. M.i.k.e. . , safe the modified explorer.exe to explorer.ex1 you can't change explorer.exe under Win9x because it's in use. make a safety copy of explorer.exe named explorer.ex_ reboot your Computer in real dos mode (by pressing F8 at start) change in win directory (cd windows) delete explorer.exe (del explorer.exe) (rename explorer.ex1 explorer.exe) Reboot and have fun if u have any problem u can rename you'r safety copy the same way

Search for a program that does it for you. There are many to choose from, the one i favour is `START 99` from VO Publications. It`s simple to use and it`s freeware.
