I am trying to change a drive letter on my windows 98 machine so I can map a drive G: to be able to access a program on my NT Server. How can I assign the local disk another drive letter so i can accomplish what I need to?

Hmm, don't know how to do it for a hard drive, but if its a cd drive, go into control panel->system->device manager->your cd drive->properties->settings->start and end drive letters of new target letter

Windows 95/98 only allows you to change drive letters of drevices that are controlled by drivers. i.e. CD-Roms, SCSI, ZIP drives, etc.

For you main hard drive (C:) that is controlled by the motherboard BIOS, you can not change it's letter.

Check out this site.
