Having a problem:
When I try to copy a file to a new CD-RW I get this message
Cannot copy file. Acccess denied.
Make sure disk is not full or write protected and the file is not currently in use.
How do I check to see if write protected?
When using a regular CD-R it works perfectly.
I am using EASY CD AND DVD CREATOR 6.
Am using Sony CD-RW
Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Just to make sure! You are using your burner program to write the file and not using My Computer, right?
You cannot use My Computer to copy files to a CD unless a special program like DirectCD is running AND the CD has been formatted.

ham30:
I am opening the file in Windows Explorer.
Right clicking the file and sending it to
drag-to-disk drive (F) same as if using a regular CD-R Disk which works perfectly.
Does a fresh new CD-RW need to be formated?
I tried that and it locked up my computer.
I may try using NERO AHEAD Burning ROM Program and see if I can copy the file to the CD-RW.

Thanks

I'd hazard a guess that ham30's suggestion that the CD-RW has not been formatted is the reason.

Yes, the drive must be formatted to use copy/paste in windows. You must also be running a special program that allows you to do that. Win98 will NOT copy to CD drives on it's own.

You have to format the disks using 3rd party software like InCD or easyCDCreator with windows 98. Only XP has native cd writing capabilities.

AMD Athlon 1.8GHz
512MB RAM
120GB HDD
GeForce 4 w/ 128MB RAM
DVD/RW
ABIT 1.49 Mo/Bo
Beleive it or not, runs HL2 like a dream!
