try uninstalling and reinstalling your burning software, and then download and install the latest update for your burning software.

Are u trying to cpy CDs ?
If yes do u have a CD-ROM drive and a CD burner ?
If yes are they on the same EIDE cable ?

IF u answered yes to the 3 questions its because :

- Ur EIDE cable is not strong enought to transit all the data.

- Or ur cache memory if not big enought.

*-* Sorry for my spelling, I dont talk english very well :P

I had the unfortunate experience of upgrading a clients Presario. All he wanted was a new sound card and an upgrade from Win95 to Win98. No problem I though, this will only take an hour or two.

HA, 8 hours later I finally got the stupid thing to work.

There BIOS program is the f**king worst I have ever seen. You put in a new peice of hardware and the BIOS locks up. But you need to get into the BIOS to resolve the conflict that is locking the computer up. Jesus Christ, what a joke.
