Due to a problem on my computer, I reformatted and attempted to load windows Me.My CD-ROM drive will not work in dos or windows 3.1 (which I installed) Is there a driver for my MATs---A CR-581?

I need help with my cd-rom. I have a Infinia 7201, sometimes my cd-rom works and sometimes it doesn't, I don't know what to do, somebody can help me with this?

something went wrong with windows98plus. i formatted.repartitioned.formatted again.tried to re-load windows98 from cdrom.did not work. booted from a windows98 startup disk. the following message comes up.
DEVICE DRIVER NOT FOUND: 'MSCD001'.
NO CDrom

What should I do?????

The WIN98 start-up disk provides an option for CDROM support. (I know the 2nd edition does anyway--not familiar with WIN98 plus.) It will install a driver and then you can load the OS.
