CD-ROM Problem

What the heck is going on??????? All of the sudden my D drive (CD-ROM) gets the error "Device Not Ready"...so I cant use it. Plus it opens and shuts..open and shuts....and wont stop...its annoying..and I need to use it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

sounds evil!, ha!, try this, right click at the my pc icon, click on properties, in the device manager tab check the hard disk controllers, remove them, reboot it, and windows will install'em by itself, then check if the cd-rom's on...
note: if windows prompt you for some drivers, c:\windows\inf will work...
