For some strange reason my audio cd's from my cd-rom only play audio out of the right channel, while all other audio played directly from my computer plays fine. I've checked all the volume settings. Any suggestions?

Check (and possibly replace) the CD audio cable that connects the drive to the soundcard or motherboard.

CD audio is handled differently than other audio formats - if the cable is loose or broken, could cause what you're describing.

You could also try plugging a headphone set directly into the jack on the CD drive to determine if the signal is good coming out of the drive.

Volume Control > CD PLAYER > Check Balance on It

Sickboy_XL, you can also try to "Allow Digital Playback" for the CDROM drive in Settings of Your Computer. If you have a PCI bus you even don't need to have the CDROM drive directly connected to sound card via audiocable. This works fine on my system = one DVD-ROM and one CDRW-DVD Combo (both LiteOns). OS is W98SE.
