I recently had my CD Writer 8200i installed. When I try to copy a CD< I get the message, "Adaptec CD Creator cannot load because Easy CD Creator is not loaded. Please re-install Easy CD Creator and try again". I reinstalled the program and now get the error message," A required .DLL file, AVIFIL32.DLL, was not found". What is the problem and what can I do to repair it. Thanks for any help.

I do not have the answer but the HP tech
support was very helpful when I had
installation problems with my CD
writer. The number is: 970-635-1500.
Also, you might try http://www.adaptec.com

I don't know what version of EZ CD creator you are running.if your version is older than 3.5 C. go to the WebSite and download this version for free. There is also a update patch its 1.05. I have a Yamaha SCSI CD writer took me 2 days to get it all figured out the patch fixed it. maybe you've already tried this. If not good luck.

I have a scsi, internal 16x6x4 CD-RW and it was working fine for a few months, but then all of a sudden both the power light and the "Write" light are on and there is a red circle and hash mark through the CD-RW icon in the system tray and when I look at the hardware profiles, it's suddenly not there? Is it simply a matter of getting the driver and re-installing?
