If it worked fine before and doesn't now then your boot disk doesn't have the cd-drive drivers included try bootdisk.comand get yourself a new boot disk remember the bootdisk will install itself to a floppy then try to install again

MMMM, thanks very much for stoppin' by, as far as I know, my computer doesn't have a driver for my CD ROM. I'm tryin' to run setup, it kept saying "bad command or file name", I noticed that my CD ROM did not detected, in other words..it's not runnin'. When I booted up from bootdisk, there's a message said somethin' about
"MSCD0001" not found. I am wondering how to download this driver, right now my HD is blank because I already format it. Please help....

First off pop your computer case open and make sure that that your cdrom has 2 cords plugged in it. One should be a cord with 4 different color wires that has 4 small plug in holes. And the other should be a larger cord thats very slender and 2 inches wide and it should have the exact same plugins and all as your hard drive.

If the cdrom howoever was plugged in correctly, try this on system boot press f1 - f10... one of them will take you into system, change the boot from your hard drive to cdrom (you can switch back) and from there put your first boot selection as cdrom and your hard drive under there and click save changes and restart.

good luck,
jb

Oh by the way you dont need a driver for your cd rom, you cmdos will recognize it as long as you didn't flash your bios which I highly doubt you did, and it can install your Windows drives from there

JB,
Thanks very much for your time, I have opened my computer momement ago, I checked everything, everything seem fine, but still didn't work. The problem is that the cd rom drive can't be found. I tried to run setup, I got into bios, set it to boot HD first, then I got an error because my HD is blank. I already format the HD.
