CD recording doubts

Hi
Some questions:
1- Can the sound of a recorded audio CDR be affected by the medium quality? E.G.: a Sony CDR provides a better recorded sound than a no named brand.
2- I was excited with the Nero S/W features. I recorded a real mixed CD using the "cross musics" features, also shortening the tracks using the limits features, and doing "fade in" and "fade out" filters. Unexpectedly the final sound quality degraded compared to the CDs previously recorded with Easy CD Creator. Does someone know if itīs the filters or is the cross musics feature that may responsible, or both?

The medium (cd brand used) can effect the quality of the music when played on a device. However, this will most likley be to a slight degree. You will notice the difference only if you recond on two EXTREMES for mediums and then listen to them on the same CD Player. I myself, buy the cheapest avaliable.
