Sony CRX175E 24x10x40
using NERO 5.5.8 version, sometimes it can detected at 24X but sometimes only can copy with 12X, even worst 8X. why is that happen?

Its your CD speed, you cant burn faster then disk will allow, most are 16 some 10,etc.
I have a 20x burner but no 20x CD's, besides that if your burning audio and you burn mp3's at say 12x if other cd players you have are not 12x cd readers your cd wil skip, so best bet is to burn audio at 2 or 4x. But yes your problem is with your CD speed of the disk.
