cd boot on a presario 7470

Hi, I was given a compaq presario 7470 with the cd restore cd's. The problem is there is no boot from cd selection in the bios setup. does anyone know if a bios update will correct this problem, only selection in f10 setup is boot from floppy then hd or hd then floppy no cd selection.
