Helo. I am having a bit of difficulty setting up my new cayman router. Its a 3220-H.
im using win98se. this is what happened, I had dsl, with a regular dsl modem, i upgraded to enhanced dsl, and ordered the router. when my router was installed, the installer said he had no records of me having enhanced dsl, nor a static IP address. ( at this time, it had not been activated - which i didnt know, cause swbell.net lied to me - i wont go into that-its a regular thing for them to do) so the installer set it up, as a normal dsl connection. it worked very fine for 3 days, i went to work one day, came home, it didnt work. I played with some settings, thinking it was an error of mine. Turns out, this is when my enhanced dsl was activated, and because i wasnt set up for static, it didnt work. I call swbell, they say, "Oh darn, we dont know jack about the routers, call cayman." I cannot get hold of cayman, cause of my long work hours,and i dont see this changing soon. so at that time, i went back to my dsl modem. I try to use to router again, work many nights, trying to figure it out, i cant. its currently sitting here, unplugged, and not in use.
I use comm view, a network traffic display, when im trying to get the router to work again, i can see connections being made to my router, but i cant pass any traffic like http, or pop3.

In the router main page,(http://192.168.1.254) i click on the diagnose link. i get this.
diagnose

==== Checking Ethernet (LAN) Interface
Check Ethernet LAN connect : PASS
Check IP connect to Ethernet (LAN) : PASS

==== Checking DSL (WAN) Interfaces
Check DSL Synchronization : PASS
Check ATM Cell-Delineation : PASS
ATM OAM Segment Ping through (vcc1) : PASS

Check PPPOE connect to Ethernet (vcc1) : FAIL
Check PPP connect to PPPOE (vcc1) : SKIPPED
Check IP connect to PPP (vcc1) : SKIPPED
Pinging Gateway : SKIPPED

==== Checking Miscellaneous
Check DNS - Query for cayman.com : FAIL
Ping DNS Server Primary IP Address : SKIPPED
TEST DONE

I see these "FAILS", and so i guess this is the problem. Im new to routers, and i dont have many resources to find help. Can anyone help me please? This is very frustrating. Thank you.

I don't know anything about Cayman routers, but have you looked at their support site:
