cant watch video files

ok here is the problem, i can watch stuff in flash format, anything other than that it will freeze my computer any one know what could cause this or fix this?

go to start settings control panel double click on add/remove programs up top there is a windows setup tab, click on it then uncheck multimedia click apply recheck multimedia click ok it might prompt you for your windows98 cd or to reboot
also, do you have a slow computer? have you ever been able to play videos?

hi ia having the same problem. i did what you said to do. but when i put in the 98 se cd it says cant find what iam looking for. is it possible to download mutimedia from the net?
