Hi
I'm having a weird problem....I have dial up Internet and when I dial up and connect, I can view websites (or check my mail or update my antivirus) and after about 2 or 3 minutes I can't do anything on the Internet. I get an error saying 'This page cannot be displayed etc...'. In the bottom right corner, I still have the icon that says I'm connected and I checked the status and there's still some activity, but I can't do anything online.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Could be various causes but first of all I would try IE Repair. Go to "Control Panel/Add-Remove Programs" then double click the entry "Microsoft IE and tools". This should give the option.
If you have any trouble with this shout back with details of any error message.

Hi
Thanks for the suggestion....I ran the IE repair and I am still having the same problem.I also decided to try the DSL and it does the same thing....I can browse the Internet for a couple of minutes, then I get 'this page cannot be diplayed errors' and I can't update any virus programs or anthing.
Thanks for your help!

Thanks for your help.
I had installed zone alarm and when I tried to uninstall it, something messed up so it didn't completely uninstall....I reinstalled it and the uninstalled it again ( with no problems this time ) and now everything is working again.

Hi i'm have the exact same problem as homer, except I don't have Zone Alarm, and mozilla firefox no longer works, but Internet explorer will work for like the first 3 or 4 minutes after a reboot, and then suddnely keep saying, "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" and Mozilla keeps saying "Unable to Connect". Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Doesn't sound quite the same. Try IE Repair (if you are on windows 95/98) but if this doesn't work raise a new post by selecting your window system towards the top left of this page.
This post is getting old so it is probably only me watching it and it's best to get others onto it too.
