Comment:
In some instances, when I foreward an email message with graphics that I have received, the graphics do not appear when the message is received. In place of each graphic there is a rectangle with a small square in the upper left hand corner with a red "X" in it. I am using Windows 98 and Outlook express 5. Any help will be greatly appreciated Thank You, Joe Narbus

The rectangle with red X is the way a web page indicates that a graphic is supposed to be displayed but the graphic file cannot be found.
It sounds like the graphic is embedded in your email, rather than being an attachment. Not all email programs handle this format.
For people that you forward to that this happens, does it always happen?
Also, I believe Outlook Express allows email to be in HTML format or text-only. I'd guess that you are in HTML format since you see the graphics. Possibly the recipient is in text only.
