can't seem to find my hard drive -

I got a newer boot disk for win98... only problem is I can't seem to find my hard drive... I have A... D ( ramdrive) .. and E ( CD ).... and that seems to be it... when I try "setup" from my windows 98 CD... I get "not enough memory:... In the settings I see that the drive is about 6 gigs... and is set as "0"... but... can't even format C .. get a "meida message"... so... any ideas??? thanks

Boot with the bootdisk. At the a:\> prompt type:
fdisk
and enter. Y to large disk support, then option 4. Exactly what does it say?

Do I understand you? You are trying to format your hard drive but cant find drive c: However, you have made a new boot disk, did you make this disk in another computer if so what operating system was on it. Are you trying to put window on top of your old one, have you taken the hard drive out or moved it, that could cause the IDE lead to became lose.
