can't save hijackthis log file

HI,When i scan my system with hijackthis it scans fine,but when i try to save it acrobat readar 4.0 appears as soon as i hit save and gives an error[cannot save because file does not start with %pdf]hijackthis is in c:\programfiles\hijacthis.exe,Also the attempted save ends up in my documents folder opening from there results in same error mesg.

Those files have a .log extension. I think in your case files with that extension have been associated with adobe. Browse to the a .log file and click on it once to highlight it. Then hold the SHIFT key down and right click on it. Choose 'open with'. A box should open where you can choose the program to run those files. You may want to choose notepad. Then make sure 'always use this program to open this type of file' is checked. Then click OK. After that notepad should open when you access a .log file.
