I was trying to partition my hard disk(4GB), and I thought everything was going OK, when I restarted the computer, There was this Master Boot v2.x prompt. This prompt request that i choose the system but when I try nothing happens. I have about 3 seconds to complete this, but that isnt the problem. I notice that the computer tries to access the A: drive. I think this may have something to do with the MBR(I dont have it). Is there any way around this or am I doomed. I tried to reformat but nothing happened. Any help would be much appreciated.

dude, you really are clueless....you do have a MBR (master boot record)if you formatted and/or fdisked the drive. do this from a c: promt "fdisk /mbr" (without the quotes.). Also, use fdisk again, and make sure that you have set the partition active. you'll know if you havn't because you'll get a message when you start fdisk "no partition set active". You may have to reinstall windows.
