Hi there! For a week now I can't seem to reply to a certain contact in my address book (I get an error message "rejected e-mail"). I can send but have to create a new message if I want to reply. Help!

Is it just that specific contact you are unable to reply to? Try removing that contact from your address book. It is possible that contact has a firewall that does not allow mail to be replied to.

Firewalls can't tell the difference between an email that has been "sent" and an email that has been "replied" to !!!
If you are using Outlook Express, when you do the reply, double click on the underlined name in the TO:, then the Name tab. Compare that email address to the one in your name and address book. It should be different. The error is somehow being caused at the sender's end. Send an email asking.

I can't respond only to that specific contact. Odd thing is that others in my entourage can reply to that contact.

One possibility may be that the ISP of the person you are replying to has inbound email from your ISP blocked. Sometimes ISP's block a domain if they are receiving a lot of spam etc. from that source. Another possibility may be OE is not functioning properly. Try another email program for comparison.

It could also be that if they have Exchange Server on their end, her default Reply-to address is set incorrectly in that user's Exchange properties - she would have to contact her sys admin to rectify that problem.
For another clue, verify in your "mail rejected" message for the exact email address it actually replied to - it's probably not the same as your contact.
Hope this helps!
