**CANT read CD burned in ROXIO**

I burned a CD from my college computer using ROXIO easy cd creator. IT's OS was win 2000....i put that cd in my home computer but the CD is not being recognized. IT SIMPLY JUST WON'T READ. IT.. please help.. thankx you...

The CD may have files on it to stop/prevent copying..... Search the web for.... Cactus Shield Securom
There are at least 12 different types of copy protection.
If it's not the above... you may not have finalised the CD, CD drive not working....could be many things.
Try starting the PC in DOS mode and then insert the ROM and at the A:\ prompt type D:\ and press enter, then type dir and press enter (so it reads D:\dir). I think this is how you search a ROM to see what files are on it even if Windows can't read it.
Someone else will have better ideas.

Some older cdrom's won't read burned cd's. What model/speed is your cdrom?

Was it a multisession CD-R that was not fully closed out? If the present computer is running Nero it could not read it. If it is a CDRW and current machine is Nero, it cannot read it or as DAVEINCAPS said, it just may be too old.
