Hi,
I have just set up my computer to connect to my University's network and have found that after installation of a new PCI network card and drivers and other configuration things my system keeps hanging at seemingly random times and I also cannot access my folders from the desktop. I can't even open My Computer. However, I can open utilities such as internet explorer and outlook.
I may have touched the network card against the motherboard when installing it or even knocked bits and bobs on it slightly, would this cause such a problem? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks,

Try defraging your comp...this fixes mostly any thing...If you need help with this go to www.defrag.tk. When you say you nocked off bits and bobs , can you be more discriptive? If you nocked a major componet loose you can fry your mother board. I dont think that happened because your computer turns on.
