Can't install wireless card drivers :(

Hello guys, I have a laptop running Win98SE. I am not able to install the new drivers for the Orinoco Wireless PC Card (silver). After inserting card to the slot, Windows 98SE doesn't tell me that it has found New Hardware and I can't install the drivers for it. Device Manager doesn't show any "?" or "X". It also doesn't show Wavelan or Orinoco anywhere. As far as I can tell, the system hasn't even seen the new device. Any thoughts? I'm at a loss. Thank you!
