I have a very old Toshiba laptop with no OS on it - I want to install Win 95. It has a floppy drive and an external CD-RW (Philips CCD4401) connected via a backpack parallel caddy (Datawise). I've tried every bootdisk I can find (bootdisk.com, ultimate boot disk etc..) and although the laptop knows there's a CD there, I can't get it to work. Anyone know of anything else I can try please?

I've never heard of a dos driver for a cdrw but that is what you need. Perhaps datawise or Phillips can provide the driver you need.

Thanks for your advice. I have the correct drivers on floppy but they don't seem to work :-(
