Can't Download Anything From Intern

I can't download anything from the Internet. I have read many posts in "Site Search", reinstalled IE 6.0 and AOL without any success. I would appreciate any and all suggestions. Thank you.

Have you run AdAware and Spybot? Have you done a HijackThis log and checked out anything unusual? Also look for the presence of a Hosts file in your Windows folder, which should not be there, or which modified your own if you already use one.

Ran a virus check and found this PC to be infected so......... A format and clean install is in the process. Thanks for you suggestions/help.
