Hi,
I have a Win95 PC. I need to be able to use the CDROM drive in DOS. When I am in Windows, I can see the CD drive. Even in MSDOS Prompt, I can change to E:\
But when I restart in MSDOS mode, it wont let me use my E:\ drive. It says "invalid drive specified"
How do I make it so that it will let me use my CDROM in DOS?

Copy oakcdrom.sys from the Win98 Startup floppy to C:\ Use Notepad and add the following line to c:\config.sys device=c:\oakcdrom.sys /d:mscd0001 Then add the following line to autoexec.bat loadhigh c:\windows\command\mscdex.exe /d:mscd0001 That should work for most drives. If it doesn't triple check your spelling
