I am trying to delete people of my Yahoo messenger.The trouble is they i press delete but they still don't go. Any idea how i resolve this?

Try right clicking on their name and selecting the delete option

Tried that still dont get rid of them

Sammy: I have run into this with AOL's AIM and had to delete the keys fron the registry, so it is possible to do; If you are familiar with the registry, first do a backup, then click edit and type the screen names into the Find field and see if the name comes up, make sure the name is associated with Yahoo Messenger and delete it, you may have to do this procedure a couple times as it is located in different places.

I am not that familar with the Directory. How do i back it up and how do i get the registry up?

opening and editing the registry Start run type REGEDIT Click the registry tab export Save In DESKTOP file name REG export range ALL SAVE Now click the EDIT tab Find in the find what field, type the screen name find next Be very carefull in the registry. Deleting the wrong thing could kill your your computer.
