Comment: I have Internet Explorer 3. I also have a cable modem and an Ethernet PC Card. How can I connect to the internet? There is no Automatically Dectect Proxy Settings box. Also, there is no TCP/IP config. settings in the configuration box. How do I connect to the Internet? Do I need Internet Explorer 4? Where can I get the full install? Or maybe, the full install of IE5 or 5.5? Thank you! I couldnt find any posts that have active download sites for it.

Reply: (edit)http://www.microsoft.com/windows95/default.asp will get you to the main page for Microsoft support for Win95.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/search.aspx?displaylang=en will get you to their main download center, where you can find the rest of what you need. How you get it to your computer without internet access though...

Reply: (edit)Surely that isn't your main pc is it??? If not and you have a better computer you can download it and choose advanced
or minimal install then advanced and download only. It will copy it to
c:windows setup files and you could burn it to cd and copy to your win95
computer.

Reply: (edit)The first url I posted (above) is where you can download IE5.5 and other stuff.
The second url is where you can find ALL the updates released for Win95.
I seem to remember the proper TCP/IP update being in there. I know I got it from them when I still ran Win95.
