cant burn cds with my burner

i bought a cd burner and installed in to my new pc and for some reason i get this err(unable to write c drive)is there any way i can fix this?i did a defrag ,ran a scandisk,and virus scan and everything is fine please give me some input ty.

If you're using Easy CD Creator you need to go to their web site and update your program.

Try to use "Nero burning rom" instead ... This is way much better ... Much more accurate and the installing program will recognize your burner automatically.

Hi Michael First of all check your connections. A burner does best if it is set to Master. Your hard drive should be set as Master on the Primary, so make sure the burner is set as Master on the Secondary. If you have it set this way your burner should be drive D:. Another thing to check is how much space you have left on your hard drive. If you have under a gig left that could cause problems when trying to burn, I know it did with me. Also, it's best to install the burner first and then the software. If none of this works please write back. I'm sure someone here would have an answer for your problem.
