I have a dual boot box win98/mandrake 7.1 on an AMD K-5 133mhz PC with a 15G HD While the linux side is currently working fine and I cant get the windows side to boot even in safe mode!I get the err msg invalid page fault MSGSRV32 mod Kernel32.dll ect ect and when I close it i have a completly blank green start up screen no icons no start button no nothing. Ctrl, alt, del brings up an empty task box. The shutdown button while active does nothing I have to warm boot to get out. The same thing happens in safe mode except the screen says safemode in the corners. I have no clue. Is it more likely that this is a problem with a the corrupt file in OS or some program set to open at Start-up? Any help would be appreciated. I would be very greatful if someone could anyone explain or point me to an explaination of the various boot options, ie: "command line only" What are my options? what tools are availible? "step -by-step" which steps should I keep or skip to track this thing down or at least boot it up! Thanks in advavce

sounds like a IRQ conflict lookin the bios and see if the card slots are assigned exact irq's it could be that your bios says one thing and windows is assinging it another = CONFLICT maybe if you bare bone the system down to just the video card and start from there to narrow down the culprit
