Subject: Can't boot to my |
Comment: I screwed something up bad!! I have a dual boot system on my computer. I have Win98se on the “C” partition and Win XP on the “D” partition. I just defraged my C drive, and now when I reboot and try to go to the C drive, I get “Invalid system disk – Replace the disk, and then press any key” I can’t get to Win98. I can boot to WinXP and everything seems to be working fine. How or what do I have to do to get back my C drive? I need major help here!

Reply: (edit)Hi, You have lost the Startup files on C: drive. IO.SYS and possibly Command.com. the usual fix for this is to boot from a Win98 Bootdisk and type: sys c:[enter] but I am not sure of the result doing this is a dual boot system. Just wait, someone who knows will reply. HTH
