Reply: (edit)" internet explorer could not open the search page" shouldn't show up when you open a Command Window. What happens if you do this: Start Run Type in cmd Hit Enter Type in ipconfig /all Hit Enter Is the machine set to obtain through DHCP? Are you on a network at home or at work? Life is more painless for those who are brainless.

Reply: (edit)You must figure out WHY you don't have an IP address. Can't get to the Internet without one. :-) Search Engines Are Your Friends
